Then almost daily they call with intrusive advertising, various surveys, notify about a loan approved specifically for you, all sorts of invitations to visit some presentation, exhibition, as well as a newly opened store, free diagnostics, etc.
And if the latter are not so annoying, then it is simply impossible to hide from scammers. Not only do they endlessly call from different phone numbers, but sometimes they also threaten or try to reliably and truthfully swindle you out of a certain amount.
On the advice of friends, about six months ago I started doing the same. I see an incoming call from an unfamiliar phone number and immediately disconnect. If my hands are busy and I hear an unfamiliar melody of an incoming call, I simply do not pay attention, because all the contacts in the phone book of my cell phone have a certain ringtone, and for members of my family, another. It would seem, what a joy, I thereby save my nerves and save time on unnecessary communication with strangers, and sometimes not always decent people.
And yet, is it right to do this, not answering any incoming calls from outsiders
This question arose in my mind after one unpleasant incident, after which I reconsidered my attitude towards ignoring incoming phone calls on my mobile phone.
Shortly before the New Year, my sister got into an unpleasant situation. But she learned my cell phone number 18 years ago, from the moment I first bought it, because it is very easy and easy to remember.
She asked passersby for a phone number and tried to call me. But I’m “smart”, I ignore unfamiliar phone numbers and, of course, I don’t answer calls.
